Shrimplin Eloise001COSHOCTON – Eloise Divan Shrimplin, 95, a resident of Windsorwood Place, and formerly of Warsaw, died Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born Feb. 2, 1919 in Perry Twp. to the late Alpha E. and May Edna (Babcock) Divan. She was a 1936 graduate of Warsaw High School, and attended the Cameo Beauty School in 1938. She operated a beauty shop at the Anart in Coshocton, and later had a shop in Warsaw. She married Don F. Shrimplin on Oct. 25, 1946, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1988. She was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, and attended a card club with ladies from the church for over 50 years. She loved to read and write, and was an excellent cook.

She is survived by two sons; Bruce (Pam) Shrimplin of Warsaw, and Greg Shrimplin of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Valorie Crawford of Warsaw, eight grandchildren; Brad Shrimplin, Brent (Mindy) Shrimplin, Amanda (Jeffrey) Dugan, Duane (Carolyn) Shrimplin, Angela (Oscar) Serrano, Jennifer (John) Shuey, Jewell (Terry) Barlow, and Justin B. ((Jaime) Crawford, sixteen great-grandchildren, and a sister, Dorothy Hulcher of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Emory and Carroll Divan, a sister, Maxine Holsky, and a son-in-law, James E. Crawford.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
