Delbert J. Lower

Delbert J. Lower, 65, of Coshocton passed away at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH.

Born December 2, 1948 in Coshocton, he was the son of the late Delbert Eugene and Doris Irene (Miller) Lower who had lived in Orange, OH.

Delbert attended Ridgewood High School and served as a Specialist 4 in the U. S. Army from April 10, 1968 to July 2, 1970 as a vehicle repairman.

A file cutter for 34 years at the former Simonds Industries in Newcomerstown, Delbert enjoyed traveling, mushroom hunting, and being with his family.

On August 27, 1971 Delbert married Helen Jean Casteel who survives along with two daughters Capt. Jamey Dawn Weaver of Ravenna, Shannon L. (Clinton) Lower-Kirker of Coshocton; three grandchildren Jenna and Jacob Weaver, Gage Lower; a brother Larry (Annette) Lower of Coshocton, a sister Susan (Jeff) Shivers of Bolivar.

In addition to his parents, Delbert was preceded in death by a sister Linda Lower.

Military Honors and Inurnment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH at a later date.
