COSHOCTON – The Coshocton Canal Quilters are hard at work preparing for their annual quilt show, which will be Aug 8 – 10 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Presbyterian Church. Admission is $5 with free parking. This year, the theme is “A Celebration of Scraps”. Quilts made with a scrappy look will be featured. Almost every room and hallway of the Presbyterian Church on the court square in Coshocton will be covered with quilts on display. In addition to the quilt display, there will be vendors, a sale of items made by the members, and a quilter’s box lunch sale. An Opportunity quilt raffle will be taking place and tickets can be purchased for a chance to win it. This quilt received a blue ribbon at the National Quilt Society Show in Columbus. Come to see the quilts, shop, and have lunch all in one place.

The Coshocton Canal Quilters is a guild of well over one hundred members. They range from beginners to members who have national recognition. Hand quilting, machine quilting, piecing, appliqué, traditional and modern styles are all methods the members are accomplished in. This quilt show will highlight the talented quilters of the area.

The quilt show will be during the Coshocton Canal Festival. This will offer many activities for the whole family. Many activities will take place around the court square so a visit to the quilt show may be combined with other things to do.

Groups are welcome! Gather your friends and make a day of it. Bus parking is available. They can help you connect with local quilt shops and other things to do in the area.
