Arvin Cullison

CENTERBURG -Arvin M. Cullison, 87, of School Lane Rd. and formerly of Warsaw, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville.

He was born Oct. 6, 1926 in Coshocton to the late William and Margaret (Hewitt) Cullison. He married Mabel Ruthlee (McCurdy) Cullison on Feb. 14, 1947, who preceded him in death on Aug. 16, 2011.  He served in the US Navy from 1945-1946.  He was an employee of Buckeye Fabric and also the former Wells Greenhouse.  He enjoyed feeding his hummingbirds, spending time with his grandkids, and he loved his special little buddy, his dog, “Jo Jo”.

He is survived by a son, David (Rosalind) Cullison of Centerburg, a grandson, Matthew (Megan) Cullison of Mt. Vernon, two granddaughters; Carrie (Jason) Smith of Johnstown, and Amie Goodin of Johnstown, and nine great-grandchildren; Kayla, Aubrey, David, Samantha, Will, Adoura, Geneva,  Alivia & Brady.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, N.M. Cullison.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Ron Davis officiating, and graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements, www.fischerfuneralhome.com
