Rogers001 (2)COSHOCTON -Barbara Jean Rogers, 81, of TR 304, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born March 31, 1933 in Plain City to the late Fredrick Allan and Doris Lucille (Penry) Cameron. She graduated from Prospect High School and attended the Ohio State University briefly before joining her husband, Paul McCormick Rogers, in Germany, whom she married Aug. 20, 1950. She dedicated her life as the residential director of Marion Co. Children’s Services for 27 ½ years.  She was a former member of the Prospect Street U.M.C. in Marion, a member of the Prairie Chapel U.M.C., and a charter member of the Coshocton Three Rivers Herb Society.

She is survived by her husband, Paul McCormick Rogers of Coshocton, a sister, Judith (Robert) Corwin of Coshocton, an aunt, Patricia McPherson of Marion, an uncle, John “Jack” Penry of Prospect, four children; Teresa (Clarence) Fisher of Harrisburg, PA, Christy Rogers of Coshocton, Cecil (Amy) Johnson of Dauphin, PA, and Jamie Bright of Marion, seven grandchildren; Nikki (Ed) Hamilton, Emily (Stephen) Williams, Amber (Jenn Shaw) Daum, Ryan (Sarah) Daum, Heather (Kelly) Andres, Courtney (Adam) Shamenek, and Justin (Brittany) Johnson,  ten great-grandchildren; Bailey (Chad Cavinee) Barnhart, Aaron Barnhart, Elsie Barnhart, Reese Daum, Raleigh Daum, Mason Andres, Kayleb Andres, Tyler Shamenek, Lachlan Shamenek, and Evangeline Shamenek, one great-great-grandchild, Cian Cavinee, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at the Prairie Chapel U.M.C. with Rev. Dail Parrish officiating.  Cremation will follow the funeral.  Calling hours are from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
