Carrollton defeats Ridgewood 6-2
WEST LAFAYETTE – In girls soccer, Carrollton defeated Ridgewood 6-2.
After 34 minutes of scoreless play, Riley Knotts got Carrollton on the board on an assist from Jess Stertzbach.
The Lady Warriors scored to more before halftime on a pair of goals from Sarah Donley.
Knotts scored two more in the second half to put Carrollton up 5-0.
Ridgewood’s Breann Asbury scored back to back goals at 29:47 and 22:14 with Kristin Milligan and Kyra Gephart assisting.
Ashlynn Knotts put the final tally on the board for Carrollton.
Karrie Bluck and Winter Preston split time in goal for Ridgewood. Bluck had 12 saves while Preston had 6.
Carrollton outshot Ridgewood 27-6.
The Lady Generals (0-3-1) host Rosecrans on Wednesday. The start time has been moved back to 7 p.m.
