Ronald E. ‘Ron’ Larr

Ronald E. “Ron” Larr, 80, of Coshocton passed away on Thursday August 28, 2014.

Ron was born in Conesville, Ohio on November 12, 1933 to the late Gerald and Juanita (Pepper) Larr.

Ron started his working career when he was 11 years old delivering the Columbus Dispatch in Conesville where he grew up. After graduating from Conesville High School, he worked for WP McCarren Co, spent a few years working for James B. Clow and retired from Peabody Coal Company after 28 years of service. Ron finished his working career after 14 years of service as Weights & Measures Inspector for the Coshocton County Auditor. He was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church, charter member of the Conesville Volunteer Fire Department and was in the Briar Patch Beagle Club.

Ron is survived by his wife Joan (Darner) Larr; two sons Tim and Jeff Larr; grandson Justin (Carissa) Larr; brothers Rodney (Elaine) Larr and Randall Larr; a sister Ruth (Lewis) Foster; aunt Pauline (Pepper) Kohman; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Roscoe United Methodist Church on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dale Sutton and Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Health Services of Coshocton County and/or Roscoe United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the church.
