George W. Allen
WARSAW- George Wayne Allen, 65, of Beech St., died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Autumn Extended Care in Coshocton.
He was born Jan. 13, 1949 in Coshocton to the late George T. and Juanita (Fouch) Allen. He was a graduate of River View High School, a former volunteer fireman, EMT, bus driver for Echoing Hills, and maintenance man for Aerial Corp. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Indians fan. He was a good friend who was reliable for anything anyone might need and always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a great husband, and loved his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Polly (Murray) Allen of Warsaw, whom he married Jan. 17, 1970, a son, Steve (Melissa) Allen of Warsaw, a daughter, Nicki (Walter) Kohman of Coshocton, six grandchildren; Caitlyn, Andrew, Chloe, Ricky, Courtney, and Cory, a sister, Bonnie Robinette of Warsaw, a brother, Donald E. Allen of West Lafayette, several nieces and nephews, and his best friends, Dick & Colleen Hochstetler.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Allen, and a half-sister, Gerene Rohner.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
