Local Bounty Update
Good Morning,
Hello again and thank you for reading! Make sure to stop in and see us at Local Bounty Coshocton, open today and tomorrow 10-6, Saturday 9-1.
Farm to Table Dinner – Thank you
Many thanks to those of you who participated in last weekend’s Farm to Table Dinner. We served nearly 50 people at Carson House Farm. Bob McKenna’s meal was top-notch. Lozowski’s barn was picture-perfect. Not sure how we will top it next year, but we will try. Speaking of next year, if you have any leads for farms that would be good to host our dinner, please forward them to Marissa Mullett (mullett.50@osu.edu).
Infused Vinegar & Food Preservation Basics Class
Join mother-daughter teaching team, Mary and Susanna Meyer of Strawberry Hill Farm, on Thursday, September 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a hands-on workshop on how to infuse vinegars with different herbs. The duo will also lead a discussion on food preservation basics.
Registration is $10. Sign up at Local Bounty Coshocton or via e-mail at localbountycoshocton.gmail.com

Vendor Updates:
Hillbippie
The Farm to Table dinner was surely amazing this year! A big thanks to all involved as well as all who attended. For bread today I will have Focaccia and Pita in the store around 12. Tomorrow I will have more Focaccia and French Boule. It is almost soup season and my Boule is wonderful at soaking up soup, you could even cut out the middle and make a soup bowl! Tea and Wine Jelly are also stocked, thank you!
Keene Creek Farm
We finally made more Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Fudge (yay!). Our five-year-old daughter has been asking for it for weeks…so we whipped up a batch and made enough to share with you. It is in the large up-right cooler at LB. Our LB freezer has been restocked for this week again. We took down a lot more ham loaf (lots of ham loaf) and bacon. On the subject of bacon – are you attending the bacon festival this weekend? We’re trying to decide what bacon dish to cook up for the cooking competition. Hmmm
Pink Elephant Coffee Roasters
Did you know that Pink Elephant is offering new coffee origins at Local Bounty?
Costa Rica La Trinidad Honey — This coffee is rich, creamy, and tart with flavors of lemon, green grape and vanilla. This Costa Rican coffee comes from the Leon Cortez region from a farm in the La Trinidad community. Our new favorite!
Fair Trade Organic Mexican Decaf — Not only is our excellent decaf organic, now it’s Fair Trade! Our smooth fair trade organic decaf from Mexico has flavors of sweet caramel, chocolate and nut. If you are looking for a clean, amazing cup of coffee, minus the caffeine, this one’s for you.
Colombia Excelso Huila — A delicious and full-bodied coffee from the Huila region of Colombia. It’s low in acidity, silky and tastes like nut, lemon, fruit and toffee.
Tanzania Peaberry — We have a fresh crop of Tanzania Peaberry Kilimanjaro that’s sweet with citric acidity and a mild grapefruit flavor. It’s our best seller, and for good reason!
Come grab a new bag of freshly roasted Pink Elephant Coffee at Local Bounty!
Thank you
