RHS fights hard, but falls to Cambridge
WEST LAFAYETTE – In girls soccer at West Lafayette, Cambridge defeated Ridgewood 3-1 in a hard fought physical battle played Saturday morning.
Cambridge jumped out to an early lead scoring all three of its goals in the first 40 minutes.
The Lady Bobcats totaled 19 shots on goal during the game with three different girls scoring.
Hannah Miller struck first only five minutes into the match and was followed by Kennedy Smith at the 18 minute mark , and Zoe Bachman at the 34 minute mark in the first half.
The Lady Generals fought back in the second half shutting out the Bobcat offense, while getting their only goal from Kimi Pepping on a corner kick served in by Winter Preston with 2:31 left in the game.
Ridgewood keeper Karrie Bluck finished with 10 saves.
Cambridge out shot the Lady Generals 19-13.
