Denver E. Randles

Randles-2WARSAW-Denver Earl Randles, age 75, lifelong resident of Coshocton Co., went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at Signature Health Care in Coshocton.

He was born in Coshocton Co. on Oct. 31, 1938 to Charles W. and Lucille M. (Taylor) Randles. He graduated from Conesville High School in 1957 as an Honor Student with scholarship awards.

Denver wed Clova Webb on March 25, 1978. He was the Owner and Operator of Randles Water Well Drilling Company, where his mottos were: “We want you WELL pleased”and“The Community Grows Where Our Water Flows”.  He retired as a Chemical Engineer.

Some of the things Denver enjoyed were spending time with his family, CB radio and hunting. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., and attended Gospel Hill Ministries for many years.  He volunteered in Haiti with a Missionary group to establish a well there. He traveled for work in all the states except Hawaii and Connecticut.  Denver constructed a working Lighthouse in his front yard, complete with 5 floors, glass portholes on each level, a spiral staircase and rotating beacon light. It has been featured in Ripley’s “Believe it or Not”.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Clova Randles, his children; Michelle (Leroy) Roberts, Connie (Rick) Devore, Janet (Michael) Saunders, Vincent Randles and Stepchildren; Teresa (Mel) Wrather and Amy (Brent) McCoy; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Rose (Gary) Albertson and Linda Randles. He is also survived by a multitude of cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws, friends and his cat “Baxter”.

Denver was preceded in death by his Parents, siblings: Suzie Randles, Mary Lou Portilla, Wanda Karns, Barbara Reddick, Charles W. Randles Jr. and stepdaughter Jody Pence.

Funeral services to celebrate Denver’s life will be held at Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E. Main St. Warsaw, on Monday, Oct. 13, 2014. Calling hours are 10 a.m.-12 p.m., with Funeral Service to immediately follow. Pastor Sonny Easterday and Evangelist Ron Davis will officiate.  Interment will be held at Canal Lewisville Cemetery.
