West Lafayette girls fall on soccer field
WEST LAFAYETTE – In girls soccer, Steubenville Catholic Central defeated Ridgewood 1-0.
Gabby Capaidi scored a goal on a pass from Krista Ondos three minutes and 18 seconds into the match.
Ridgewood threatened in the second half including a Mallory Simmons shot that sailed over the bar with 10 seconds remaining in the game.
Karrie Bluck was busy in goal with 23 saves for Ridgewood.
The Crusaders held a 28-8 advantage in shots.
Catholic Central advances to play Bishop Rosecrans on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 5:30 p.m.
