Lonsinger, Jim046WALHONDING- James Christopher “Doc” “J.D.” Lonsinger, 82, of SR 206, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2014 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 19, 1931 in Coshocton to the late Frederick and Gertrude (Potes) Lonsinger.  He was a 1950 graduate of Warsaw High School, and was the owner & operator of Lonsinger’s Garage for 53 years.  He was a member of the Mohawk CB Club, and he enjoyed working on the farm, fixing old tractors, riding his three-wheeler, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeannette (Lowery) Lonsinger of Walhonding, whom he married Aug. 2, 1961, a son, Rick Lonsinger (Michelle Johnson) of Walhonding, a daughter, Christine (Benny) Thomas of Fallsburg, two grandchildren; Andrew & Alicia Lonsinger, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers; Clyde, Bernard, and Gerald Lonsinger, two sisters; Maude Ware and Betty Whelan, and a daughter-in-law, Luella Lonsinger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
