Russell Joseph Beck

Russell Joseph “Russ” Beck, 73, of Willis, TX and formerly of Coshocton and Washington D.C. passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at his home in Texas.

Born August 22, 1941 in Buffalo, New York, he was the son of the late Robert Francis and Irene Belle (Sage) Beck, Sr.

Russell had attended school in Coshocton and had served as a Specialist 5 in the U.S. Army from January 31, 1961 to January 30, 1964.

Russ was an independent electrician and was known for his knowledge and understanding of electricity where he worked at many wiring projects all over Maryland and Washington D.C.   He also enjoyed going to auctions and was devoted to his parents, brothers and sister and their families.

He will be missed by two brothers Robert (Maryann) Beck, Jr. of Willis, TX, Ron (Pat) Beck of Coshocton; sister Irene (Jim) Cook of Sebring; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Free Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial of the Cremains will follow in the family plot at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council.

The family will receive friends and family members from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M., Wednesday prior to the Memorial Service.
