Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office makes arrest

James R  PattersonCOSHOCTON – A deputy from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle Jan. 8, in relation to someone shooting from a vehicle on CR 271 in the county. As a result of this traffic stop, the officer found a large amount of drugs, cash and several firearms.

James R. “JR” Patterson, 32 years old and from the Coshocton area, was taken into custody in reference to this stop.  He has been charged with Having Weapons While Under Disability, a Felony of the Third Degree, and Improper Handling of Firearms, a First Degree Misdemeanor.

Additional charges may be considered after review by Coshocton County Prosecutor, Jason Given.

This incident is currently being investigated by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
