Hartley001WARSAW- Pastor Thomas Michael “Tom” Hartley, 61, of CR 20, died Monday, January 26, 2015 at his residence.

He was born March 2, 1953 in Delaware, OH to the late Thomas Henry and Lois Luella (Gale) Hartley.  He was a 1971 graduate of Brookhaven High School in Columbus.  He joined the Marine Corp in 1971 and served until 1975.  He was an ordained Pastor by the Global Christian Ministry Forum.  Tom completed several mission trips to Haiti, and was involved in many different street, prison, and jail ministries.  He was the owner & operator of Boys in the Hood cleaning service for 20 years.  He loved to hunt and fish, and was a devoted husband, father and friend to his family and church members.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Debra J. (Mullins) Hartley of Warsaw, whom he married Oct. 8, 1977, twin sons; Justin Thomas Hartley, and Eric Austin Hartley, both at home, a daughter, Meggan Leigh Hartley of Savannah, Georgia, two brothers; David (Glorean) Gilkerson of Centerburg, and Ken (Kelly) Gilkerson of Marengo, four sisters; Loretta (Darol) Gilkerson of Columbus, Pamela (Edward) Lafferty of Lancaster, Holly Hartley, and Debbie Reynolds, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Tommy V. Gilkerson, and a half-sister, Lorena Gilkerson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Gospel Hill Ministry, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating and military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council.  The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
