Concert to be performed at Roscoe United Methodist Church
COSHOCTON – On Sunday, March 1 at 3 p.m., violinist Jamie Jorge and pianist Timothy Noble will be in concert at Roscoe United Methodist Church. Roscoe United Methodist Church is located at 475 High St. (Historic Roscoe Village), Coshocton. Their phone number is 622-7780. Jamie Jorge
Jaime began playing the violin at the age of five. Born and raised in communist Cuba, he was given many opportunities-including offers to study in Moscow with some of the greatest musicians of our time-if only he and his family would renounce their belief in God. They refused. When Jaime was ten, miraculously, his family was given the opportunity to leave the country.
They came to the United States, where Jaime received a Christian education and violin lessons with eminent violinist Cyrus Forough. But Jaime dreamed of being a missionary doctor, and in 1994, was accepted by University of Illinois School of Medicine. In 1996, he left medical school and a promising medical career to devote himself to full-time music ministry.
Since 1988 Jamie has traveled over 6 million air miles and has played in North, Central and South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa (6 Continents in all and over 40 countries). He has recorded and released 17 albums. Jamie’s website is www.jaimejorge.com
Timothy Noble
Timothy (age 16) is the son of Kevin and Cynthia Noble and lives near Mt.
Vernon, OH. He started taking formal piano lessons at the age of 6. This musical gift flows from his heart – put there by God – and is seen in his love of the hymns and gospel music of which he has done his own arrangements under the direction of his piano instructor, Mrs. Glee Smith, in Mt. Vernon. Timothy has also been greatly influenced and blessed by playing with and learning from other talented and gifted pianists of our day such as Dino Kartsonakis, Kim Collingsworth, Jeff Stice, Michael Howard and Anthony Burger.
Timothy often plays the piano in his own home church (Lakeholm Nazarene
Church in Mt. Vernon) and many other local churches in Ashland, Coshocton, Knox, Holmes, Stark and Tuscarawas counties, as well as participating in other special events and concerts such as – Southern Gospel concerts with Soul’d Out Quartet, Triumphant Quartet, The Blackwood Quartet; special invitations to the Grand Piano Extravaganza (with 5 nationally known pianists) in Shipshewana, Indiana, the Gospel Barn in Bluffton, Indiana, Haven of Rest Ministries in Akron, Ohio, and the Akron Baptist Temple, to name a few.
