June Duncan

DuncanJune Duncan, 86, Dover and formerly of Coshocton passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the New Dawn Nursing Home and  joined her beloved husband Wayne.

Born June 1, 1928 in Coshocton, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Cora Louise (Gephart) Wilson.

A 1946 graduate of Conesville High School, June had been employed by Frontier Power for many years. She and her husband had owned and operated Wayne’s Freeze on Chestnut Street in Coshocton for over 53 years.

On September 29, 1946 the high school sweethearts married. In 2006 June and Wayne  celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a trip to Alaska. The couple enjoyed traveling having visited all 50 states, plus trips to Canada and made two trips to Europe.

A member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Coshocton Farm Bureau, June loved crafts, gardening, and was proud of all her grandchildren.

June will truly be missed by her son Dennis (Pam) Duncan of Dover,  daughter Susan (Wayne) Frisbee of Columbus; four grandchildren Michelle (Will) Kenyon of Charlotte, NC,  Eric (Nicole) Frisbee of  Rochester Hills, MI, Katy Duncan, Becca Duncan  both of Dover; a brother Tom Wilson of Coshocton; a sister Betty Miller of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor John Wallace officiating.  Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 30, 2015.
