COTC offers professional development for nursing leadership, educators
NEWARK – Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) is pleased to announce and to serve as host to a one-day faculty development event designed for nursing leadership and nursing educators, including clinical adjunct faculty. Test Construction & Item Writing: What Must Be Taught vs. What is Nice to Teach with internationally-acclaimed Sylvia Rayfield & Associates (SRA), Inc. will be held on Friday, March 13. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the workshop starts at 8:30 a.m. at the COTC Newark Campus, Hopewell Hall, Room 53 (Pre-registration required).
SRA, Inc. is an international consulting company that for 33 years has been dedicated to increasing NCLEX pass rates and to working with students, faculty, and hospitals to enhance the nursing education experience. The program will kick-off with an update on the current minimum standards using the research provided by the National Council State Board of Nursing.
The program, presented by the Health Services Department and the Workforce Development Innovation Center at COTC, begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. (Lunch will be provided.) The event will be held on the Newark Campus of COTC in Assembly Room 53 of Hopewell Hall, 1179 University Drive.
