Local Bounty Update

| March 26, 2015

Rain is a good thing, just think, in no time the flowers will be budding, little seedlings will be growing, it is exciting! We have alot in store for you this week, stop by and see us today and tomorrow 10-6, Sat. 9-1.

Flying Pig Farm

We’re so excited to have our seeds started! We can’t wait to grow fresh heirloom veggies for you this summer. Our baked goods this week include Wheat, Garlic Herb and Cinnamon Raisin Bread; Sandwich Buns; Gluten-free Bread and Buns; Garlic Herb Croutons (wheat and gluten-free) and Zucchini Bread. I tried baking the gluten-free buns in a different pan and am happy to announce they are bigger! We’re thinking about doughnuts and would like your input. Want to let us know how we’re doing? Like us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/OhioFlyingPigFarm – this week’s “likes” will be entered into a drawing for a free loaf of cinnamon raisin bread!

Hillbippie

Good soggy morning to you!  I am so excited about my new tea bags, they have a string!  It’s the little things right? 🙂 Mint Condition is available bags as of now but I will get cracking and prepare your favorite tea blends in bag form, stay tuned for updates. Lavender is restocked and it is now Organic, only the best for you shoppers! Remember a little goes a long way, my office/herb room smells wonderful after I bag up Lavender.  Spring Tonic is also restocked, get your vitamins and minerals here, this tea has a high level of Vitamin C! As for bread I have Focaccia and French Boule, next week, just in time for Easter, I will have Challah. Have a peaceful day!

Humble Bee Bakery

A big THANK YOU for your continued support. Last week I sold out and it was a pleasant surprise. It makes me so happy to know my treats are being enjoyed. This week at my booth you’ll find cookie themed cupcakes! Best of both worlds… Snickerdoodle Cupcakes~Vanilla cake with cinnamon sugar baked in and sprinkled on top. Vanilla & cinnamon buttercream with crushed snickerdoodle cookies.  Topped off with cookie pieces!  Samoa Cupcakes~Vanilla cake with a coconut caramel center. Swirled with vanilla buttercream and Samoa Girl Scout cookie crumbles. Adorned with half of a Samoa cookie.  Cinnamon Swirl Bread is re-stocked; grab your loaf early–these continue to sell out quickly!  Samples are available again this week. Hopefully you find something that makes you say “MMMM” 🙂

Keene Creek Farm

It has been a relatively quiet but productive week at our place. All of the animals seem to be as happy as we humans are for some warmer days and sunshine (I actually witnessed our heifer calf hurdle a hog earlier this week – she got a little carried away with her frolicking). Our pork cuts are well stocked. We hope to have cheese brats and the little sausage links back in by the end of the weekend. If not this week, definitely by next week. The Texas Longhorn ground beef is selling much quicker than we ever imagined it would. We hope you’re all enjoying it. Many thanks for your continued support.

Young Farms

The freezer is re stocked with most cuts back in stock! We have bulk hamburger, cubed steaks, ribeyes, sirloins, T bones, chuck roasts and rolled roasts! More to come in the coming weeks!
