Pep rally held for Hopewell teams

DSC_0100COSHOCTON – The Village People, aka Hopewell’s basketball coaches, got their players and fans pumped up for their Special Olympics State Tournament games. Hopewell’s red team will play at 4 p.m. Friday, March 27 at Kent State Tuscarawas and the black team will play at 4 p.m. at Dover Middle School. If they win on Friday, the red team will play at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Dover Middle School and the black team will play at 11 a.m. at Strasburg High School. The skills team will compete at 10 a.m. on March 28 at Claymont High School. A pep rally honoring the teams was held Thursday, March 26, at Coshocton High School and included music by the CHS pep band, player introductions, games and of course the Village People’s “YMCA.” Beacon photo by Josie Sellers
