Nurses celebrate
COSHOCTON – A reception honoring past, present and future nurses was held May 5, at Coshocton Hospital. “We like to get together one time a year to celebrate and show respect to all nurses,” said Tammy Dovenbarger, who is a surgical nurse. The party was organized by the Coshocton Registered Nurses Association, which Dovenbarger is treasurer of. Other officers are Jackie Mason, union president and Susan Fitch, secretary. “We enjoy getting together to discuss memories and how nursing has changed,” Dovenbarger said. Nurses in attendance were from surgery, oncology, the fourth floor, ER, ICU, outpatient services and there also were former OB nurses. “I enjoy nursing because I can help with patient care, support the community and show the community that I care,” Dovenbarger said.
