Travel to a new place and time at the museum this summer

| June 22, 2015

COSHOCTON – It’s summer time, a time for traveling and having fun. Preschoolers are invited to do some of their own traveling at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum on Tuesday mornings in July from 10 – 10:40 a.m. Imagination Journeys is the topic for the month. Each week, they’ll travel to a new place or a new time with the help of artifacts, books, songs and crafts. They will begin each journey by literally walking through a curtain to a new experience. Our first destination is the ocean floor on Tuesday, July 7.

Although these children are too young to experience the journeys presented during Ohio Chautauqua in Coshocton, they will encounter fascinating places using creative play. The program is for children 2 – 5 yrs. and lasts for about 40 minutes. Parents and children are welcome to explore the museum on their own for the remaining hour. Imagination Journeys is free, thanks to the support of the Coshocton Kiwanis Foundation. For more information or to make reservations, contact the museum at 740-622-8710 or email jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org.

The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village, a restored canal-era town sited along the former Ohio and Erie Canal, at 300 N. Whitewoman Street, Coshocton.
