Allen takes part in block party
WEST LAFAYETTE – Chestnut Street Crossing had its seventh annual block party Aug. 9. West Lafayette Homecoming Royalty came to show their community support and to help Head Start. The girls helped families make Fingerprint Family Trees.
While up there, one of the girls spotted singer Casee Allen. He then signed their sashes and took a lot of pictures with them. He also was a Head Start graduate so he and his sister (Courtney) made a Family Tree for Head Start’s website.
Casee went on to sing for everyone and he handed the girls each two CDs. One for them to listen to and the other he signed for them to keep.
Casee’s Aunt Angie was the one in charge of the party and all the tables and entertainment. Casee plans to visit Head Start one day this fall/winter to say hello to all the staff and children. Photo contributed to The Beacon
