Taste of Coshocton a hit

| August 14, 2015

COSHOCTON – Hundreds of people enjoyed a taste of Coshocton and supported community organizations Thursday evening, Aug. 13 at Lake Park Pavilion. The 11th Annual A Taste of Coshocton County featured 14 local restaurants and caterers and for $10 attendees were able to enjoy 10 tastes. The event also kicked-off United Way of Coshocton County’s 2015-16 campaign which helps raise funds to support the organization’s 19 community partners. “I think this event is so popular because it’s all local,” said Lyn Mizer, executive director of United Way. “It showcases local vendors and local agencies.”

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
