Sheriff’s office executes search warrant

COSHOCTON – On Aug. 31, at approximately 5:15 p.m., detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed a Search Warrant in the 21000 block of Tuscarawas Township Road 164 in Coshocton County.

As a result of this search warrant, a firearm, drugs, drug trafficking and manufacturing paraphernalia, and cash were seized. Two adults were also taken into custody during the search warrant.

On Sept. 1, Charles E. Johnson, 30 years old and from the Coshocton area, was formerly charged with Having Weapons While Under Disability, a Felony of the third degree. The remaining adult was released pending further investigation.

Additional charges may be considered after completion of the investigation and further review of the County Prosecutor.

Assisting the detectives were members of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), The Coshocton County Dog Warden and The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
