Mary “Peggy” McCrea
FRESNO – Mary “Peggy” McCrea, age 85, of Fresno, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Chili.
Born on April 11, 1930 to the late Russell and Iva (Kleinknecht) Olinger in Chili, Ohio, Peggy graduated from Fresno High School in 1948. On July 27, 1951 she married John E. McCrea who preceded her in death.
Peggy enjoyed working in her daughters’ horse barn, attending horse shows with her family, mowing her lawn, spending time with her husband and family, attending her grandkids sporting events, and having her grandchildren spend the night at her house.
A long-time member of Chili Crossroads Bible Church, she sang in the church choir and served as custodian for many years.
Peggy is survived by her three daughters, Brenda (the late Michael) Ianniello of Chili, Diane (Mark) Gress of Chili, and Karen (Jim) Priest of Chili; six grandchildren, Jonathan (Terri) Ianniello, Angela (Scott) Brillhart, Elizabeth (Ryan) Burr, Ryan Gress, Samantha Priest and Kyle Priest; seven great-grandchildren Sydney, Camryn, and Harper Ianniello, Jameson, Brynna, and Jackson Brillhart, and Isla Burr; three brothers, Harvey (Reva) Olinger, Larry (Margery) Olinger, and Darrell (Stephanie) Olinger; and sister Emma McCrea. In addition, the Burrs will add another great-grandchild to the family within the next two months.
Along with her parents and husband, Peggy is preceded in death by a sister Lucille Miller and three brothers, Clifford, Roger, and Franklin Olinger.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
