Caregiver appreciation luncheon held

COSHOCTON – Caregivers were treated to food and fun during the Seventh annual Coshocton County Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon which was held Oct. 5 at Coshocton Village Inn & Suites. The event is held as a thank you for caregivers who take care of spouses, parents or children. Displays from various agencies were setup, mini massages were given and lunch was provided by Lafayette Pointe. Irene Schweitzer also was honored as Caregiver of the Year. The event was offered free of charge thanks to the following sponsors: Area Agency on Aging, Region 9, Autumn Healthcare, Coshocton Hospital, Genesis Black Lung & Respiratory Clinic, Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab, Northside Oxygen & Medical Equipment and Primrose Retirement Community.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them.
