Fatherhood Initiative serves up breakfast and a message

| September 23, 2015

WARSAW – The Coshocton County Fatherhood Initiative served up breakfast Sept. 23, at Warsaw Elementary School.

During the event William Johnson from the Fatherhood Initiative encouraged dads and father figures to be active in their children’s lives.

“Take the opportunity as much as you can to spend quality time with your children and let them know that you love them and are always going to be there for them,” he said.

This fall, the Fatherhood Initiative also will hold its Second annual All County Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Coshocton High School with featured speaker Cie Grant, who was a member of The Ohio State University’s 2002 National Football Championship team.

Tickets can be purchased at any elementary school in the county for $5 each. This includes breakfast, games and all opportunities to participate in any of the games and prizes being offered. A limited number of VIP tickets may be acquired in advance and those wishing to do so may call William Johnson at 740-622-6208 or Tonya Lock at 740-295-7562.

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
