2015 Coshocton County Fair King/Queen Candidates announced
COSHOCTON – Interviews were held on Sept. 13, at the Coshocton County Fairboard Office for the 2015 Coshocton County Fair King and Queen Court.
Coshocton County high school seniors are chosen from the youth organizations representing the Junior Fair. Past and present participation and personal achievement in Junior Fair organizations, as well as service and volunteer work in community organizations are considered for nomination. Crowning of the 2015 king and queen will be held on Saturday morning, Oct. 3, at the Coshocton County Fair Grandstands following the opening ceremonies at 9 a.m.
Chosen for 2015 were the following seven contestants:
Amy Jo Johnson, the daughter of Connie and the late Mike Johnson, is a member of Magic Makers 4-H Club, River View FFA, and Junior Fairboard. She is a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church. Amy Jo has volunteered in several community functions.
Jade Poorman is the daughter of Mike and Amanda Poorman. She is a member of Rock Run 4-H Club, Junior Fairboard, Junior Leaders Club, and is an Ohio 4-H State Ambassador. She has participated in various community volunteer projects.
Brittany Schaefer is the daughter of Brandy Mizer and Tyler Cline. She is a member of Go-Getters 4-H Club, Junior Fairboard, and 4-H Junior Leaders Club. She also has been a 4-H Camp Counselor
Jenna Wyler is the daughter of John and Annette Wyler. She is a member of Ridgewood FFA, Progressive Valley Grange, Junior Fairboard, and White Eyes Livestock 4-H Club. She has been involved in many church and community organizations.
Nathan Bowman is the son of Brent and Tracy Bowman. He represents Ribbon Winners and the Spring Mountain Climbers 4-H Clubs, Boy Scout Troops 412 and 438, and is a member of the Coshocton County Junior Fairboard. He volunteers at the Walhonding Valley Fire Department, is a member of the Well Christian Church, and participates in numerous community activities.
Jonathan Helmick, the son of Tim and Melissa Helmick, is a member of Magic Makers 4-H Club, River View FFA, and the Coshocton County Junior Fairboard. He has volunteered for numerous county church activities and has participated in several 5K runs.
Collin McCoy is the son of Kevin and Amy McCoy and is a member of Winner 4-H Club, River View FFA, Junior Fairboard, and Farm Bureau Youth Organization. He attends Roscoe UMC and is a graduate of the 2014-2015 Coshocton County Youth Leadership Class.
