Local Bounty Update

| October 1, 2015

Good Morning,

The air is crisp, the fair is here, it must be fall!! Come check out our LOCAL products, Thursday and Friday 10-6, Sat 9-1.

Vendor Updates:

Flying Pig Farm
Fall is here! Enjoy Fair week and warm up with some soup. Our mixes make mealtime quick and easy. Spread some delicious Applebutter on some crusty bread for a sweet side. We have a few dozen eggs this week. Get them before they’re gone!

Keene Creek Farm
We are running behind in stocking our freezer for this market week. But, we will get there Thursday morning sometime. Promise. There will be more sausage, ham loaf, brats, bacon and more. Our hens are laying more eggs than we can eat right now, so we will have a couple dozen to sell too.

Millcreek Homestead

My daughter, Hannah, has been hard at work in the kitchen.  She has perfected the most delicious Artisan Herb bread.  My favorite way to eat it is a grilled cheese sandwich!  She is a very motivated 14 year old who is saving her pennies to buy a horse and hopes to bring you more yummy treats from the kitchen as she practices and fine tunes  new recipes.  (Her brothers are loving the process!)

Strawberry Hill Farm

Brrr, it’s getting chilly out there! And we’re glad for the rain we’ve received this week. Things were getting really dry at the farm. We’ve brought quite a bit of produce to Local Bounty this week, since we will not be selling at the farmers market this Saturday. Look for kale, salad mix, zucchini and summer squash, wax beans, cilantro, tea mix, and some quarts and pints of tomatoes. We also restocked our strawberry jam again. Must be bread and jam time!

Thank you
