C. Nelson Schlatter

C. Nelson Schlatter, 71, of Coshocton passed away Monday November 2, 2015 due to an accident. He was born in Wilmington, DE on July 22, 1944 to the late Carl Schlatter and Helen (Krulish) Schlatter Black. Nelson was a graduate of The University of Delaware and worked at Ansel as a chemist for 38 years before retiring. He was on several ASTM committees that involved the development of safety standards for product development worldwide. He loved trains, photography, church choir, community choir, was the Clerk of Vestry, and was an avid cyclist. Nelson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Wyszynski) Schlatter whom he married June 17, 1978; children Bill (Alicia Smith) Schlatter of Ann Arbor, MI and Jeanne Marie Schlatter of Coshocton; granddaughter Cassandra Schlatter; sister Rosalie Zollars of California; several nieces and nephews; and his feline companions Dell, Wilbur, and Sparky. Friends may call at The Trinity Episcopal Church, 705 Main St.,Coshocton on Monday November 9, 2015 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM with funeral service beginning at 6:00 PM with Pastor Philip Kunder officiating.
