COSHOCTON – Coshocton Business and Professional Women (BPW) and Business and Professional Women’s Foundation announces that the annual National Business Women’s Week (NBWW) will be held Oct. 21-27. NBWW offers communities, companies and organizations an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of workingwomen and companies that have made strides toward improving working women’s lives in their communities.

Coshocton BPW along with Coshocton County Farm Bureau sponsored the “Meet the Candidates” night on Oct. 11, at the Coshocton County Career Center as a NBWW activity.  Mayor Steve Mercer presented members with a Proclamation for NBWW.

Sunday, Oct. 21 members will travel to Steubenville Country Club for the 33rd Annual Tri-State Ecumenical Event. Tomma Bordenkircher will represent BPW/OH and give a five-minute sermonnette on the theme “She Shall Be Called Woman,” along with a representative from BPW/WV and BPW/PA.

At 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, members will meet at the Coshocton Elks to surprise a member as “Woman of the Year.” Call Doris Parkhill at 740-622-7798 for reservations. Cost is $16. The public is invited to attend.

Saturday, Oct. 27, members will travel to Granville, for the Region 4 meeting.

“NBWW is a significant way to observe and raise awareness about women in business and women-owned businesses in Coshocton,” said Emily McBurney, Coshocton BPW President.
