Casee Allen gives back

| November 30, 2015

COSHOCTON – Casee Allen and his fans helped raise money for not one, but three different charities.

Allen, a country singer who grew up in Coshocton, performed two concerts on Nov. 25 at the Triple Locks Theatre and proceeds from them were split between Toys for Tots, Saint Jude’s Hospital and also raised money for epilepsy since Allen has a cousin with the medical condition. Any money left after supporting those three groups will go to send at least one child from each age group who wrestles in Coshocton to a camp.

“I’m going to hand select a wrestler from K-sixth, seventh – eighth and ninth – 12th grade,” Allen said. “I wrestled at Coshocton and coached there so I want to give back to them.”

This was his third time performing in his hometown.

“If it weren’t for the folks who were packing the bars here when I played, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to try Nashville,” Allen said. “I like to show my appreciation to them.”

The concert also had a different format than most of Allen’s performances.

“There are no lights and smoke,” Allen said. “I wanted to show the fans what we’ve been working so hard on. I wanted this concert to be personal and the Triple Locks Theater is the perfect spot to do that.”
