Vendor Updates:
Flying Pig Farm
This week we have Blueberry or Lavender Scones and Pac Choy in the cooler. Pac Choy is great for stir fry or in any Asian inspired soup or noodle dish! Don’t forget to order your Christmas baked goods! We have tempting breakfast treats, bread and buns. Slider buns (wheat or gluten-free) would be a perfect complement for appetizers or mini sandwiches. Order in store, at harmstrong333@gmail.com or at www.facebook.com/FlyingPigFarm.
Hillbippie
Garlic graters are a *great* gift! Dishwasher and microwave safe!
Keene Creek Farm
We hope you’re all anticipating Christmas week as much as we are. With two kiddos in the house (ages 3 and 6), it truly is a magical time of year. Last week there was a rush in ham loaf sales and our supply at Local Bounty ran out. No worries though, we have lots more here in the farm warehousing freezer and it will be restocked Thursday morning. Roasts have been really popular lately, we will bring more of those down too. Our market stalls are full of gift options for the local foodie on your list. The pizza dough mixes and trail mix make great “just because” gifts – great for teachers, bus drivers, etc. Happy almost Christmas week – we are truly grateful for your support.
Mullet Apiaries
We had the opportunity to mingle with our fellow vendors at the annual meeting this week. What a great group of people are involved with Local Bounty! We can all be grateful for this wonderful resource for good, local food and craft items. Are you ready for the holidays? This week we still have some gift packages available. Did you remember your mail carrier or the barber that always fits you in at the last minute? Give them a sweet treat of local honey! Here’s a bee fact: this warm weather can actually be bad for the bees if they don’t have enough honey stored in the hive for the winter. When it’s warm like this, they are active, out looking for food and eating more from the stores they have. So keep your fingers crossed for all our Coshocton County beekeepers and their bees this winter. Thanks as always for your support.
Thanks!
