Leprechaun Chase

WEST LAFAYETTE – About 40 runners and walkers came out to support Habitat for Humanity and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a little early at the four mile Lucky Leprechaun Chase on March 12 in West Lafayette. “I’m super appreciative of everybody who came out and it was nice to see some families here,” said Brittleigh Smith, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Coshocton County. The race also brought some folks from out of town. Hannah Fout and Wendy Ellis drove two and half hours to take part in it. “My goal is to run a race in every county and this is number 65 for me out of 88,” Ellis said. “I thought it was a cool goal to have and I’ll be finished up with it in September.” Proceeds from the race benefit Habitat for Humanity, which will soon break ground on its 16th house in the community.
