Gerald Arden PictureGerald W. Arden, 76, of Coshocton passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home on Wednesday March 23, 2016. Gerald was born in Ironton on February 28, 1940 to the late Alfred and Hattie (Grubb) Arden.  He attended Coshocton High School and had worked for John Albert Construction, General Electric for 34 years before retiring in 1995, and after retirement he worked for Bill Albert Construction. Gerald loved raccoon hunting and fishing; building stock cars, a 1932 Ford Roadster and a 1976 Ford Ranchero super- modified pulling truck.

Gerald is survived by his wife Deborah (Stahl) Arden whom he married on September 6, 1980; children Sue (Steve) Bussey of Frazeysburg, Dawn (Mike) Hammersley of Tyndal, Andrea (Matt) Ruckman of Walhonding, Stacy (Jason Bradford) Guilliams of Coshocton, Shannon (Ty) Postlewaite of West Lafayette; siblings Glenna Swingley, Edna Affolter, and Curtis (Carol) Arden; grandchildren Heather and Heath Butler, Dustin (Lennel) Sisco, Drew (Tara) Cochran, Coty (Beth) Cochran, Kylee (Cory) Covic, Morgan (Amber Dawn Michael) Guilliams, Helena Postlewaite; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his brother Don Arden and sister Evelyn Meddings.

Per Gerald’s wishes, a cremation will take place and a burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Coshocton County Animal Shelter or Health Services of Coshocton County “Hospice”. The Miller Funeral Home, Coshocton is serving the family.
