Preschoolers invited to celebrate spring at the museum
COSHOCTON – Spring is Here! Is the topic for April’s preschool programs at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum. How do we know when spring really is here? Is it the rain, the blooming flowers, the planting of gardens, the birds building their nests and animal babies being born? It’s all of these, of course. Each week we’ll learn about these omens of spring using artifacts, music, games and books. We’ll be planting our own garden behind the museum with the hope that in July we can pick some of the veggies.
Spring is Here! is a free program for children 2 – 5 years and is held on Tuesday mornings in April from 10 to 10:40 a.m. Parents and children are welcome to explore the museum on their own afterwards. These programs are offered at no charge thanks to the support of the Coshocton Kiwanis Foundation. For information or to say you’re coming (reservations are appreciated.), contact the museum at 740-622-8710 or e-mail jhmuseum@jhmuseum.org.
The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village, a restored canal-era town sited along the former Ohio & Erie Canal, at 300 N. Whitewoman St.
