Mark E. Gress, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at his home in Chili.

Born in October of 1957 to the late Dale and Joyce Gress, Mark graduated from Ridgewood High school in 1976, and married Diane McCrea on October 29, 1981.

Known for his sense of humor and good-natured wit, Mark enjoyed fishing, watching all types of sports, rabbit hunting and golfing. An avid supporter of Ridgewood sports teams, Mark spent many years on the Chain Gang for the Ridgewood High School football team. Mark loved people, and kids were especially drawn to his playful banter. He is fondly remembered for his jovial personality, his ability to make a friend anywhere, and his involvement in coaching Ridgewood youth leagues.

Mark attended Fresno Bible Church and is survived by his wife, Diane; son Ryan Dale Gress; mother, Joyce Gress; sister Connie (Wilmer) Eckelberry; sisters-in-law Brenda Ianniello and Karen (Jim) Priest; Nieces Wendy (Matt) Croy; Amanda (Scott) Kelly; Angela (Scott) Brillhart; Beth (Ryan) Burr and Samantha Priest; Nephews Jonathan (Terri) Ianniello and Kyle Priest; and many great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dale Gress; his father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Peg McCrea; and brother-in-law Michael Ianniello.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 8, from ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Block R Fund, Inc., the Ben Stevens Memorial Scholarship Fund, and Fresno Bible Church.
