Betty J. Tedrow
MOUNT VERNON – Betty Jean Tedrow, 90, a resident of the Country Court Nursing Home died Monday, May 9, 2016 at the nursing home.
She was born May 30, 1925 in Coshocton County to the late R. B. “Sam” and Mary M. (Moore) Roberts.
Betty was co-valedictorian of the 1943 graduating class of Warsaw High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Doc Fix Its Repair Shop and was member of the Howard United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam (Joe) Henkel of Mount Vernon and Carol (Steve) Lundberg of Kane, PA. Three sons, David (Karen) Tedrow, Dan (Darlene) Tedrow, and Charles Tedrow all of Mount Vernon. A stepdaughter, Rona Horafakis of Wheeling, WV. Five grandchildren, Aaron, Ronald, Danielle, Megan, & Lindsay. Great grandchildren, Alayna, Irelynne, Paisley, Lucas, Kenzley, Tucker, & Tanley. Several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald C. “Ted” Tedrow, whom she married April 10, 1954, he died March 27, 1994. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Tedrow, a sister, Dorothy M. Davis, and a brother, Jim Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound View Cemetery at Mount Vernon.
