Giant mushroom

| May 11, 2016

giant mushroomRandy Snow of Coshocton is pictured proudly showing off the biggest mushrooms he has ever found. He has hunted mushrooms his whole life and was surprised to find such a huge one on May 11 so close to his home. “It was right across the road from my house,” he said. “I went out Saturday for three hours and didn’t find one, then I go to the mailbox today and there these are.” He plans to flour it, fry it in butter and eat it. Snow plans to look for more mushrooms this season and encouraged others to not give up on their hunt for them. “You have to just keep going and keep your eyes open,” he said.

About the Author ()

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!
