RVHS students volunteer at Echoing Hills

WARSAW – River View High School’s teen leadership class was welcomed with open arms at Echoing Hills.

“They reached out to me and we made it happen,” said Kassondra Reed, director of habilitation services at Echoing Hills. “They’ve been wonderful.”

The students and the Echoing Hills clients planted plants from seed, talked about what is needed to make them grow and enjoyed activity days together.

The teen leadership class is for juniors and seniors and is taught by Stephanie Snyder. The purpose of the class is to teach the students leadership skills and get them involved in community service projects.

Junior Audree Murray enjoyed the class and her time volunteering at Echoing Hills.

“I didn’t know this was here so it was fun to meet everyone,” she said. “The class has been good and gave me opportunities to do things I wouldn’t think to do.”
