HolbrookDRESDEN – Ronald Matthew “Matt” Holbrook, 27, of CR 436, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born June 20, 1989 in Geneva to Ronald and Beverly (Eigenbrod) Holbrook.  He was a 2008 graduate of River View High School, and received a certificate from Mid-East Career and Technology Center in Zanesville. He was employed at the family business, Holbrook Mechanicals, as a HVAC installer.  He loved fishing and hunting, enjoyed his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and had so many friends, due in large part to his sweet nature and tender heart.  He was a pleasant young man that had a very positive outlook on life, always carrying a smile and encouraging anyone he could.  He was the type of person that would do anything for anybody, and he was very respectful of his elders.  He was a hard worker and a quick study. There wasn’t much of anything that he couldn’t do.

He is survived by his parents, Ron & Beverly Holbrook of Dresden; four sisters, Valerie Smith of Coshocton, Cori (Travis) Olson of Oak Harbor, Kelly (Josh) Fisher of West Lafayette, and Kendra (Wesley) Frew of Dresden; three grandparents, Jim & Marianne Holbrook of Newark, and Carol Eigenbrod of Avon; twelve nieces & nephews, Brian Smith Jr., Abbi Smith, Andrew Smith, Chandler Meyer, Evan Meyer, Bradon Olson, Cooper Olson, Ella Olson, Alexa Fisher, Jaxon Fisher, Kyler Fisher, and Sophia Frew; many aunts and uncles, including a very special uncle Jack Holbrook of Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by a grandmother, Betty Alaimo; a grandfather, Dwight “Bud” Eigenbrod; an uncle, Greg Holbrook; and an aunt, Jeannine Schwandt.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Dave Pennington officiating.   Burial will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 27th at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
