RVHS celebrates cross county and seniors

| September 14, 2016

WARSAW – The sport of cross country was celebrated Tuesday evening Sept. 13 when River View High School hosted its annual Coshocton County Cross Country Classic.

“It’s been a tradition of ours for many, many years to hold this and celebrate cross country in Coshocton,” said Gwenna Neal, head cross country coach at River View.

The meet was for high school and junior high runners and had participants from Coshocton, Newcomerstown, Ridgewood and River View. It also was senior night for the Black Bears and each senior along with their parents were introduced before the meet started.

“They have dedicated every fall to this grueling sport that helps build character and gives them tools that will take them to the next part of their life,” Neal said. “I wish them all good luck.”

River View’s 2016 cross country seniors are: Madison Beach, Michael Hardesty, Colt Stottlemire, Aselya Sposato, Gretchen Lozowski, Sarah Eick, Kayana Martin and Macy Hill.
