Randolph A. “Randy” Jones

IMG_2919CAMBRIDGE – Randolph A. “Randy” Jones, 57, of Cambridge passed away Friday (December 16, 2016) at Cambridge Health & Rehab Center.

He was born December 16, 1959 in Hopewell, VA and was the son of Alice V. (Cliborne) Jones of Hopewell, VA and the late Ernest L. Jones.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Hopewell H.S., was an Army veteran and was previously employed at Federal Mogul.  Randy enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, dancing and was an avid Washington Redskins fan.  He was a member of Zanesville Flames Motor Cycle Club and VFW.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by grandparents, Harold and Verglee Cliborne; mother in law, Linda K. Buker; grandparents in law, Forest and Mary Buker.

He is survived by two sons, Michael and Jordan Jones both of Cambridge; one daughter, Adrianne Jones of Midland; one step-daughter, Chelsea Gibson of Cambridge; four brothers, Ernest L., Lawrence E., Thomas L., and Alphonso L. (Kimberly) Jones all of Hopewell, VA.; two sisters, Florine E. Wheeler and Lisa A. Jones both of Hopewell, VA; four grandchildren, Lantz Jones, Zora Jones, Bryce Jones and Cecelia Jones; sister in law, Jeanna (Terry) Nelson of Coshocton; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Fenn, Kyle Nelson, April Jones and Jamiel Wheeler; and the mother and grandmother to his children and grandchildren, Lee Ellen Jones.

Calling hours will be Thursday (December 22, 2016) from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randolph White officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
