James E. Hunt
COSHOCTON – James E. “Jim” Hunt, 84, of Coshocton passed away at his home with his family by his side on Sunday January 8, 2017.
Jim was born in Warsaw on July 6, 1932 to the late Charles E. and Edith (Ferryman) Hunt.
He served in the United States Army during Korea. In his early years, he owned and operated his own auto repair shop, later in life; he really enjoyed woodworking, building cabinets and furniture.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of forty three years Fonda L. Hunt whom he married October 4, 1973; two sons Jack (Janet) Hunt and Tom (Laurie Dembek) Hunt both of Coshocton; one daughter Rhonda K. (Terry O’Shea) Kraus of Akron; nine grandchildren Carole Hunt, Jack (Michele) Hunt, Rebecca (Jeff) Hoover, Debbie (Cory) Christmas, Joe Brush, Barbie (David) Templeton, Angie Hunt, Jessica Kraus and Christina Kraus; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; special cousin Lewis A. Hunt of Coshocton; long time friend Steven (Sharon) Mercer of Coshocton; numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Marlan “Bud”, Larry and Charles Hunt; sisters Sylvia Simpkins and Carole Smith.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Funeral services for Jim will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Coshocton County Memory Gardens.
