Donna Jean Cosmar
COSHOCTON – Donna Jean Cosmar, age 88, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was born in Coshocton County on September 10, 1928 to the late Robert and Dorothy (Lorenz) Daugherty. Donna graduated from Coshocton High School. On January 3, 1948, she married the love of her life, Guido “Guy” Cosmar who survives.
Donna was a homemaker, taking care of her family, and then went to work at Shaw Barton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her husband of 69 years, Guido, she is survived by her children, Robert (Cathy Parrish-Heck) Cosmar of Florida, Gregory (Kathleen) Cosmar of Florida, Rick (Jennifer Hall) Cosmar of Coshocton, and Cynthia Cosmar of Coshocton; four grandchildren, Maggie Cosmar, Amy Cosmar, Molly Cosmar, and David Cosmar; a special cousin, Jeff Corder; and two nephews, Tim Daugherty, and David Daugherty.
Along with her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Doc” (Barbara) Daugherty, niece, Carol Daugherty-Madey, and Donna’s uncle and aunt, Leonard “Dike” (Elizabeth “Libby”) Corder.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 9:00am-11:00am at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Donna’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, Health Services/Hospice of Coshocton County or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
