WEST LAFAYETTE – Pastor Jim Evans and his wife Melony from Litchfield, Mich. have joined the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette. He comes to the church with experience as a camp, conference and family seminar speaker, trustee of Scioto Hills Baptist Camp, missionary appointee to Australia under ABWE and has been a pastor for several years.

Pastor Evans attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo. and has a Bachelor’s Degree of Religious Education from Calvary Christian College in South Bend, Ind.

Pastor Evans has professional training in cross-cultural ministry, church planting, ministry to a post-modern world and self study program in Greek,

Pastor Evans and Melony have 11 children ranging in age from 17 to 39 years. Melony is very gifted with a beautiful voice and an accomplished pianist. One daughter currently is on a mission trip to the Philippines.
