Everett Cecil Rodabaugh_0002COSHOCTON – Everett C. Rodabaugh, age 100, of Coshocton, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017.

Everett was born to the late Arthur and Rose (Bobski) Rodabaugh on August 19, 1916 in Creston, Iowa. During World War II, Everett served in the Merchant Marine as a Lieutenant Commander on a Liberty Ship. Everett retired from Batelle Memorial Institute; he was a mechanical nuclear engineer who received many awards during his lifetime, among which were the Bernard F. Langer Nuclear Codes and Standards Award (which he received in 1998) and the ASME B31 Forever Medal for Excellence in Piping. Everett was also the author of nuclear safety codes that are used worldwide. Everett loved music, especially classical music. He played the piano and the organ.  Everett was an avid tennis and table-tennis player, and taught many generations how to play.

Everett is survived by his two daughters, Marty Rodabaugh (Don McKay) of Coshocton and Jan (Bill) Watts of Arizona, two loving grandsons who will dearly miss him, Shawn (Katie) and Chris (Jayna) Watts, and nine great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Everett is preceded in death by his wife, Martha.

Per the family’s wishes, Everett is to be cremated.
