CHS coach honored at Ridgewood game
WEST LAFAYETTE – Colton Conkle gave his father Jeremy Conkle a big hug after handing him his Ridgewood Athletic Wall of Fame plaque during halftime of Ridgewood’s varsity boys’ basketball game at home against Coshocton on Feb. 14. Ridgewood High School Athletic Director Matt Colvin inducted Jeremy into the school’s athletic wall of fame. “In my opinion he is the best ever to lace them up for the Generals,” Colvin said. While playing for the Generals, Conkle earned First Team All-Ohio honors for the 93-94 and 94-95 season. He graduated from Ridgewood in 1995 and is the school’s all time leading scorer with 1,591 points. Conkle now helps coach the Coshocton Redskins, who ended up beating Ridgewood 57-36.
